What to expect
During your visit we have a few things to accomplish:
We will be looking to see if you have a tissue response to the soundwaves meaning the inflamed and injured tissue will ache but only to your tolerance level. You need to feel it so we can heal it!
We want to see the energy deficit between your tissues and what normal tissue can comfortably tolerate.
We want to see that you can move better, have less pain and/or are stronger when we are done. It should be a perceivable difference. To that end, if at all possible, please do NOT take any pain relievers at least 6 hours prior to your appointment.
A couple more things...
Dress so we can have skin contact with your area of pain. For any type of hip pain we do need to assess the groin area.
The appointment will be about 30 minutes. If you are a good candidate for this therapy and we feel we can expect great results with your condition, we will give you our treatment plan recommendations before you leave.
